Perpetual License for CoworkRestore

When you buy CoworkRestore you get a perpetual licence for the version of the app available on the day of your purchase, plus every update we ship in the following twelve months. After that update period ends, the last version you received is yours forever - no expiry, no feature lockout, no “your licence has expired” modal that turns the app into a scarecrow.

• You may keep using your last licensed version of CoworkRestore indefinitely, on the number of Macs covered by your licence tier (1, 3, or 5 - see Pricing).
• Within your update period (one year by default), every new CoworkRestore release is included at no extra cost.
• When the update period ends, the app keeps working exactly as it did. No features are removed. No restore is gated behind a paywall.

If you’d like to keep receiving updates after your first year, you can renew for another year at a 40% discount compared to a new licence at the current price. The renewal discount stays available indefinitely, even if you skip a year and come back later.

Renewals are optional. We design every CoworkRestore release so that running an older version is a perfectly reasonable choice; we’ll never silently change a file format or migration step to force a renewal.

Subscription fatigue is real. We wanted CoworkRestore to feel like a tool you own, not a tool you rent. The same model has worked well for other small, focused macOS developers - including DevUtils, Sketch, TablePlus, and JetBrains’ IDE products - and it lets us keep shipping new features for as long as people find CoworkRestore useful.

Practically: the price you see today is for the licence plus the first year of updates. If you stop paying, you keep the app you already paid for. If you keep paying, you keep receiving new features and fixes.

Personal licences are tied to the purchasing person, not the Mac. You can deauthorise a machine and activate a different one at any time through the in-app licence settings, within the seat count of your tier. Team licences may be transferred between members of the same organisation.

This page describes how the perpetual licence works in plain English. The legally binding terms - what you may and may not do with the software itself - live in the End User License Agreement. In the unlikely event of a conflict between the two, the EULA controls.
